Hostworks long standing relationship with Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) was extended in 2010 with the confirmation of a 60 month term, multi-million dollar hosting contract.

A Hostworks customer since late 2006, AHL is one of Australia's premier entertainment, hospitality, tourism and leisure companies with brands including Event Cinemas, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas, Rydges Hotels and Resorts, and the Thredbo ski resort. Hostworks manages the online and corporate IT infrastructure environments for each of AHL’s premium Australian brands.

Leveraging Hostworks latest innovations in the delivery of online content, AHL benefits from Hostworks Utility/Elastic Computing, Content Distribution, Enhanced Backup and User Experience Monitoring solutions. This in turn will provide an enhanced user experience, improved content delivery, automated internal business processes, improved cost certainty and the ability to scale capacity up and down especially during peak load periods.

“AHL is pleased to have chosen Hostworks to provide this vital business platform, enabling AHL to focus on our core business, while enjoying the benefits of cloud based services.” Peter Bourke, IT Director, AHL

The result of a rigorous tender process and an offer that eclipsed nine other highly competitive organisations, the AHL contract is testament to Hostworks ability to deliver a comprehensive and very complex service offering. It also highlights the value of the company’s proven track record, unmatched experience and position as market leader in the management of innovative online media solutions.
